The New Kensington-Arnold School District Kennywood School Picnic Day is Saturday, May 30, 2026.

If you plan on attending the day of the picnic, tickets are $32.99, and must be purchased online before May 18th. Price increases to $35.99 after May 18th.

If you aren't sure if you can make it to Kennywood on May 30th, there is a second ticket option. Tickets are $37.99, and they are valid through July 12th. Good any day tickets are only available to purchase online until June 30th.

Tickets are also available for purchase at the Administration Building. These tickets are valid for any day throughout the 2026 Summer Season until September 7, 2026. Valley High School Spring Musical - April 16th - 19th

The Valley High School Drama Club is excited to invite our school community, families, and friends to our annual Spring Musical, The 25th Annual Putman County Spelling Bee! Join us as we transform our beautiful new auditorium into a fun, fast-paced, and heartfelt musical. Our students and staff have been working so hard to put on a great show. We hope you will join us in celebrating the dedication and talent of our actors.

NKASD General School Board Meeting - Tuesday, April 14, 2026

The General School Board Meeting of the New Kensington-Arnold School District will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Board Room at VJSHS, 703 Stevenson Boulevard, and also virtually via Microsoft Teams. Information for joining the virtual meeting will be available on the NKASD Website the day of the meeting. This meeting is open to the public.

Junior Jumpstart Financial Aid Seminar - Monday, March 30th

State Representative Jill Cooper invites you to Junior Jumpstart, a financial aid seminar with PHEAA on Monday, March 30th, 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at the Northern Westmoreland CTC, 705 Stevenson Boulevard, New Kensington. This financial aid seminar with the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency is designed to help next year’s high school seniors begin navigating the world of college financing.
