The General School Board Meeting of the New Kensington-Arnold School District that was originally scheduled for Tuesday, July 7, 2026 has been rescheduled to Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Board Room at VJSHS, 703 Stevenson Boulevard, and also virtually via Microsoft Teams. Information for joining the virtual meeting will be available on the NKASD Website the day of the meeting. This meeting is open to the public.

Free Summer Food Program

The Nutrition Group and New Kensington-Arnold School District will be offering summer meals to school-age children in the Community. The program is free, and open to all school-age children 18 years of age or younger, regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability. Dine-in only. No cost or sign-up required.

Roy A. Hunt Elementary, 1701 Alcoa Drive, Monday – Friday, June 10th – June 25th , Breakfast 9:00 a.m. – 9:45 a.m., Lunch 11:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

Valley High School, 703 Stevenson Boulevard, Monday – Thursday, June 15th – July 2nd, Breakfast 8:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m., Lunch 11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Early Dismissal - Friday, June 5, 2026

On Friday, June 5th all students in Kindergarten through eleventh grade, both walkers and bus riders will report to school and/or bus stop at the regular time. Please note that dismissal will be earlier than usual. The dismissal times are listed below for your convenience:

Discount Kennywood Tickets Are Still Available

You can still purchase the “Good Any Day” discount ticket for $37.99, which lets you visit Kennywood any day until July 12th. This flexible ticket is available for online purchase until June 30th.

A limited number of tickets are also available at the Administration Building. These tickets are valid all the way through September 7, 2026, and cost $40 each.
